Instruction and Support

The Marsh School is staffed by a dedicated team, including four full-time academic teachers, a librarian, an art instructor, and a school secretary. Students receive instruction in core subjects such as English, math, science, and social studies, while also benefiting from enriching electives like music, technology, physical education, and art. These courses are designed to help students develop well-rounded skills, both academically and personally.

In addition to classroom teachers, school family teachers play an important role in providing behavioral treatment within the school environment. They serve as a bridge between the school and the residential homes, assisting with behavioral monitoring, academic support, and facilitating communication between school and home life. This integrated approach ensures that students receive consistent support both in the classroom and during their residential time.

A Personalized Approach

At The Marsh School, we recognize that each student has unique needs. Our staff works collaboratively to create individualized learning plans that address those needs while ensuring that students follow the same graduation policies and standardized testing requirements as other Ohio schools. This flexibility allows us to tailor schedules to help students meet specific academic goals and earn the necessary credits for graduation.

We also maintain strong partnerships with students' home school districts to ensure continuity in their educational journey, whether they are re-engaging in school or dealing with more complex learning challenges. Our goal is to provide each student with the support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Preparing for the Future

The Marsh School isn't just about academics — it's about preparing youth for life beyond graduation. We are committed to helping students develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed in their next steps, whether that’s further education, vocational training, or entering the workforce. With a blend of personalized instruction, therapeutic support, and community collaboration, we aim to give each student the foundation to build a bright future.
