Group Homes
The Marsh Foundation offers behavioral interventions in a group home setting. There are three homes for youths, ages 10 - 17. One home for males, one females and one is the Marsh Intensive Treatment Program for male sex offenders. All three homes are on our large central campus. Each of our homes serve up to ten children and provides a family style atmosphere as well as high staff to client ratio.
Each of the homes has a slightly different staffing pattern. The staff are called Individual Family-Teachers. All Family-Teachers must have completed a minimum of sixty four hours of initial training prior to working independently with children.
The youths we serve have typically demonstrated severe enough behavior problems to cause removal from their natural, foster or adoptive home. Our Family-Teachers work with the youths and their families towards the goal of reunification. Should reunification be impractical, we offer semi-independent and independent living for youths or long term foster care for younger children. The length of stay is based upon the youth's behavioral progress, typically 9-12 months. During the youth's stay, the Family-Teachers work closely with the natural family/legal custodian and other involved persons to provide individualizing treatment plans to encompass social, academic, and self help skills. Experienced, professional consultants provide on-going training and supervision as well as 24 hour emergency on call service.
